An actor qualifier can identify a different television version
The Japanese Toei On Demand Prime page lists two Toyama no Kinsan television entries with different actors named in parentheses: Sugi Ryotaro and Takahashi Hideki. Dropping that qualifier from a search or recommendation loses information that the catalogue itself uses to distinguish the entries.
Retain the full Japanese title and actor qualifier when returning to the programme. If you remember a performance, use that detail alongside the title instead of opening the first familiar poster. This is a programme-identification task before it is a playback problem.
Do not read a selected archive as a complete broadcast run
The reviewed page includes police-drama entries explicitly carrying SELECTION-style labels, including Tokusou Saizensen and Tokubetsu Kidou Sousatai. Such a collection title should prompt inspection of the actual episode list. It does not, by itself, establish that every episode from the original broadcast is present.
If your purpose is to find one remembered story, keep its episode identifier or synopsis detail alongside the collection name. Compare the available instalments before planning to watch a whole historical run. A missing number in a selection is a different observation from a listed episode that fails to start.
The company and the subscription are different scopes
Amazon’s Japanese June 2026 subscription guide lists Toei On Demand and My Hero separately. The reviewed Toei channel also mixes films and television. A Toei production credit alone is therefore insufficient to decide which product supplies an item.
For a follow-up film connected with a series, keep its full film title rather than treating it as the next numbered TV episode. Locate the actual work in the intended channel and use that record for the viewing decision. This preserves both the story format and the subscription identity without promising the company’s entire archive.

The reviewed channel uses different actor qualifiers for distinct television entries.
