Choose catch-up or the running television channel
TV5+ is the viewing platform operated by TV5 Québec Canada, associated with the TV5 and Unis TV channels. Its FAQ makes a decisive distinction: those channels’ live broadcasts belong to television-distributor subscriptions and are not provided as live streams in the TV5+ website or apps. Selected programmes are offered there as free catch-up.
If your purpose is the programme broadcasting right now, a catch-up search is the wrong test. If you want an episode, search its title in TV5+ and inspect the available instalments. A channel schedule and an independently playable episode answer different questions.
Use the account to continue a programme
TV5+ documents a free account and a Reprendre le visionnement rail for continuing videos across web, mobile and television. For its documented Apple TV, Android TV and Fire TV linking route, open the TV app’s profile icon to obtain the four-digit code. Sign into the intended TV5+ profile on a computer or mobile device and enter it at tv5unis.ca/tv.
Link the profile you actually intend to use for the programme. If another household member’s history appears, check that account selection before restarting the entire episode to manufacture progress. Linking the account records continuity; it does not add the linear television channels.
A broadcast does not guarantee a permanent replay
The FAQ says catch-up rights and expiry vary by programme. A show may be absent even though it aired on television, and an earlier replay can leave the selection. It also points viewers outside Canada to a separate internationally available selection rather than promising the entire Canadian catalogue abroad.
Keep the exact programme title and episode together when planning a later session. If you are travelling, inspect the actual offered selection before depending on an unfinished episode. A saved viewing position cannot extend its availability window.
Keep the two TV5 services distinct
TV5 Québec Canada describes a partnership with TV5MONDE, while its current online platform is branded TV5+. Follow the Canadian TV5+ profile and help instructions for this account; a partnership does not establish that TV5MONDEplus shares the same catalogue or login.
For a failed video, record the episode, device and whether the problem occurs before or after playback begins. For a missing live channel, return to the distributor distinction above. Those are more useful observations than treating every TV5-branded application as one worldwide service.
