Recognise W4Free and Watch4 in the history
wedotv’s history includes W4Free in the UK and Watch4 in German-speaking markets, brought together under the current name in 2022. An older reference can therefore belong to that history rather than identify a completely unrelated present service.
Use the current official destination when following an old link or instruction. Retain the old name and date if the task is identifying an earlier programme reference; do not turn that history into an assumed second subscription that must be purchased.
The app and a themed channel are different entry points
The corporate description distinguishes the wedotv streaming destination from the group’s themed channels. Its named brands include movie viewing, factual adventure and sports interests. A channel carried elsewhere and an individually selected film in the app are different experiences.
A themed channel follows its running order. An on-demand item is chosen individually where offered. If a viewer wants the beginning of a particular work, the live channel schedule does not itself establish that the same work is present on demand.
Use the programme type to set the question
A film, a factual adventure programme, a sports highlight and a live event need more precise names than the general wedotv brand. The current programme page or schedule is the useful reference for the actual item being discussed.
The corporate network’s overall description is not a guarantee that every programme and version is available on every distributor or in every country. Keep the destination and viewing mode with the title before comparing two screens.
