Choose the output before adjusting timing
Amazon’s Alexa Home Cinema setup guide includes an Audio Output choice after the speaker arrangement has been configured. It recommends the Television option for gaming and other latency-sensitive use. That is a separate decision from adjusting Lip Sync Tuning for dialogue that leads or trails the picture.
An interactive session gives you a different observation from a film. A button press followed by a delayed response is not the same comparison as a speaker’s mouth and voice. Establish which complaint you have before changing a timing control.
Find the documented choice
In the guide’s post-setup section, the route is Settings, Display & Sounds, Alexa Home Cinema, then Audio Output. Amazon also uses Display & Audio elsewhere in the same setup article. Follow the equivalent labels actually shown on your supported device rather than assuming every interface uses one spelling.
Read the Home Theater and Television choices in that menu. The guide associates Home Theater with playback and control through Echo devices, while recommending Television for the latency-sensitive case. This article does not establish an identical physical signal route for every television, HDMI source or Echo combination.
Make a reversible comparison
Note the starting output choice, Fire TV model, connected source and speakers you can hear. Try the recommended option using the same short interactive passage. Keep picture processing, receiver delay and app settings steady so the changed output is the one deliberate difference.
Write down whether the response improved, stayed the same or introduced another problem. Return to the starting choice if the comparison is unhelpful. Do not assign a millisecond improvement without a real measurement, or assume a result from streamed video describes a separate HDMI game console.
Keep a movie check separate
When returning to a film, check dialogue alignment using the selected output. If a timing correction is needed, use the separate Home Cinema lip-sync instructions. Preserve your two observations independently: the output choice suited to interaction and the dialogue result. These are documentation-based checks, with no physical Home Cinema test performed here.
Questions answered
Is Television the same control as Lip Sync Tuning?
No. One selects the documented output option; the other addresses alignment. Amazon lists them separately.
Does this establish a delay measurement for my Echo setup?
No. Record your own comparison; no hardware latency was measured for this article.
