Choose one unmistakable channel example
If a channel plays but its programme list is wrong, record the tuner channel and the guide identity separately. Similar names, regional variants and alternate feeds can produce plausible but incorrect matches. Keep the source account and private guide address out of public screenshots.
Choose a channel with a clearly identifiable current programme and compare the source’s legitimate schedule. A guide that lists a different programme and a guide shifted by an hour are different symptoms. Preserve that distinction before changing time settings for the whole server.
Open the documented guide mapping route
Jellyfin’s setup guide describes the guide provider’s menu and Map Channels, with an edit control beside a tuner channel to select the corresponding guide channel. Use that route for the actual configured provider and record the initial mapping.
Read the candidate identity carefully before selecting it. A matching brand word is not enough if the guide contains several regional or time-shifted versions. Keep the selected guide record attached to the test so a later change can be compared with the original.
Refresh and compare the same programme window
After the deliberate mapping choice, use the supported guide-refresh route and allow it to complete. Inspect the same channel and programme period in the Live TV guide. A saved mapping and imported schedule data are separate checkpoints.
If the correct programme appears at the wrong time, investigate the time interpretation next. If an entirely different schedule remains, preserve the mapping and guide source for further inspection. Do not repeatedly apply a broad offset to compensate for the wrong channel identity.
Verify the ordinary viewer’s result
Open the intended client as the intended user and inspect the same programme. Keep server and client time information where needed, but do not change several layers together. A correct server mapping can still be displayed through a stale or differently configured client view.
The expected outcome is an explicit correct guide association for a known tuner channel. It does not make a programme playable from an archive, extend guide coverage or establish recording permission. Retain the before-and-after identity and actual guide result so another administrator can understand the correction.
Questions answered
Why can a channel play while its schedule is wrong?
Media access and guide identity are separate. Inspect the explicit mapping to the corresponding guide channel.
