The control changed across generations
LG’s linked-power guide says Auto Power Sync is not a separate setting on webOS 6 and later. In its documented arrangement, enabling SIMPLINK integrates linked power behavior. An older screenshot can therefore show a switch that the current menu does not expose.
Identify the webOS version before treating the missing label as a failed software installation. The function and its menu presentation are different questions.
Use the current function route
Open the model’s documented HDMI settings and inspect SIMPLINK. LG’s paths differ across webOS generations, so use the exact TV manual when the general support example does not match.
Test wake and sleep separately with the connected HDMI device. A device waking the TV does not prove the reverse shutdown action works or that every attached receiver supports the same commands.
Questions answered
Should newer webOS always show a separate Auto Power Sync switch?
No. LG says it is integrated rather than separate on webOS 6 and later.
Does enabling SIMPLINK guarantee all CEC commands?
No. The connected equipment’s supported commands still matter.
