The guide provides a standard-remote route
LG’s webOS 24 Sound Out article explains navigation with a standard remote’s arrows and OK as well as a Magic Remote pointer. The illustrated pointer is therefore not evidence that another compatible remote cannot reach the control.
Identify which remote you have and use its actual Settings button. Do not attempt a Magic Remote registration procedure merely because a screenshot shows a cursor.
Follow the focus indicator
Open All Settings, Sound, Sound Out using the route available on the model. Move focus deliberately and press OK on the intended destination. Check the highlighted item before selecting when several sound outputs are listed.
Play a familiar short passage and confirm which speaker is active. Navigating a menu successfully and producing sound at the chosen destination are separate checks.
Keep model differences visible
LG warns that illustrations can differ by product. If the route changes, use the exact model’s manual instead of inventing a missing pointer gesture.
This page explains the documented input alternative. It does not promise every remote’s compatibility or replace the model-specific control requirements for unrelated television functions.
