M6+ replay: a missing episode is different from a loading failure

Separate a replay window, a paid-product label and a player error before changing the setup.

Describe whether the episode is present

There is a useful difference between an episode that no longer appears and an episode that appears but cannot be played. M6's current terms describe replay of selected programmes for limited periods after television broadcast. A disappearing replay can therefore be an availability change rather than a broken device. Start by finding the exact programme, episode and original broadcast date. A series landing page or a search-engine result can remain visible even when the particular item you wanted is no longer offered in the same way.

Do not assign one replay window to every programme

A familiar pattern from last week's viewing is not a universal retention rule. Use the item's current availability information and the appropriate broadcaster help. Avoid calculating a promised end date from another channel's replay policy. For a personal viewing plan, note the date shown for the actual episode rather than writing a general number of days beside the entire series. That small distinction is valuable when trying to finish a serial whose episodes entered the service on different dates.

Check the product label next

M6+ presents freely accessible material alongside paid products, including M6+ Max and named pay-TV channel services. A programme being connected with Groupe M6 does not tell you which access route applies. Compare the label shown for the selected item with the product connected to the account. This is a separate question from whether the device supports the application. An app can open successfully while the particular item asks for a different product or is outside its current replay period.

If the item is listed, record the failed stage

For an episode that is visibly available but fails, describe whether its page opens, whether playback begins and which message appears. A problem affecting only one episode is a different report from every item failing to start. Preserve that comparison before clearing app data or rebuilding a television setup. Changing several settings at once may remove the useful distinction between a content-specific fault and a wider playback problem. It also makes it harder to reproduce the original sequence for the broadcaster's help team.

Use a compact viewing record

A hypothetical catch-up record could contain the programme, episode, broadcast date, availability label and one sentence about the outcome. For example, an episode missing from the catalogue should be recorded as missing; an episode that reaches a black player with an error should retain the error. Neither description proves the final cause. Together with the correct M6+ product and device version, however, it gives the next investigation a clear starting point without inventing a fixed replay window or paying for another product merely to test a guess.

Questions answered

Does a series page guarantee every episode remains on replay?

No. Selected replay programmes have limited availability periods.

Does an installed M6+ app establish access to every paid product?

No. Read the selected item’s product label and the account’s actual subscription.
