MAG shows its boot logo, then goes black: inspect normal output mode

Distinguish the startup display signal from the mode used after the software loads.

Receiver model and account method

The two stages can use different modes

Infomir documents a boot or recovery display stage that can differ from the video mode used after the software loads. Seeing a startup logo proves one stage reaches the television; it does not establish that the later configured mode is supported.

Note when the image disappears: immediately, after a logo, at portal loading or only when video begins. Those triggers describe different boundaries.

Check the exact model’s output guidance

Review the selected normal Video output mode and television support. If the loaded picture is inaccessible, use the manufacturer’s model-specific recovery instructions. Older bootloader and newer recovery systems should not be combined into a universal button sequence.

Keep the intended TV input and physical route clear. A receiver or adapter may support the boot mode while restricting another combination.

Avoid unrelated resets

A portal-address change or app reinstall does not establish display-mode compatibility. Preserve configuration where possible while investigating the output stage that fails.

Infomir’s source has inconsistent legacy PAL/NTSC labels in some passages, so this explanation does not repeat those values. Use the exact model manual and TV specifications for a legacy mode rather than propagating an ambiguous line.

Questions answered

Does a visible boot logo prove the normal mode works?

No. Infomir documents different output stages.

Should I use any MAG recovery sequence?

No. Follow the exact model and firmware family’s instructions.
