DVI mode has an explicit audio consequence
Infomir warns that selecting DVI in its Linux embedded-portal HDMI/DVI setting suppresses audio on the HDMI output. A picture can therefore be visible while that route remains silent for a configuration reason.
Check the actual receiver input. The documented HDMI choice applies when the TV is connected through an HDMI input; do not change a genuine DVI arrangement without reviewing its separate audio requirements.
Make the smallest relevant comparison
Inspect System settings, Video and its additional digital-output options for the supported model. Record the existing selection, apply the appropriate documented mode and test a known item at moderate volume.
Keep TV mute, box volume and the intended audio destination in the check. A corrected output mode cannot compensate for an independently muted receiver.
Keep the conclusion narrow
If sound returns, record the setting that changed it. If it does not, continue with the model’s audio guidance and a known local-file comparison where appropriate. The DVI warning is one specific cause, not an explanation for every silent programme.
This guide concerns the documented Linux/WebKit embedded portal. It should not be presented as an identical menu on every MAG-branded Android device.
Questions answered
Can DVI mode leave HDMI picture without HDMI sound?
Infomir explicitly documents that consequence.
Does this apply to every MAG firmware?
No. Check the Linux embedded-portal context and exact model.
