The restart level is its own preference
Infomir’s embedded-portal settings define Initial volume as the player’s starting volume after reboot. A level returning at restart can therefore be intentional behavior rather than evidence that the remote ignored the previous session.
Compare ordinary volume adjustment and a restart separately. Write down which level changes and when. A programme that begins louder than another can involve content, while a repeatable boot level concerns the saved startup preference.
Choose a comfortable startup state
Inspect the supported model’s Audio settings and Initial volume. Select a level appropriate to the real output arrangement, then test at a safe listening level with the receiver or TV controls available.
Keep the downstream volume stable during the comparison. A receiver changing its own startup level at the same time can obscure which device produced the result.
Record the output path
If compressed audio is passed to another decoder, verify which device controls effective loudness. The box’s player level and receiver level should not be treated as identical controls.
For support, report the firmware family, selected Initial volume and whether the behavior occurs only after reboot. This is a documented-state explanation, not a claim that every source or receiver respects the same volume control.
Questions answered
Does a reboot level always mean settings were lost?
No. Infomir documents a separate Initial volume preference.
Should I compare receiver and box volume as one value?
No. They are separate stages in the listening route.
