Choose a reliable speech passage
Audio synchronization is easier to assess with a clearly visible speaker than with a scene cut or music. Choose one channel and passage where the relation between mouth movement and speech can be observed. Keep the selected track and the television or receiver route fixed.
Compare a second channel through the same output. If every source and application is late through a particular soundbar, preserve that broader pattern. If only one channel is affected, retain that narrower result. A per-channel correction and a device-wide lip-sync adjustment have different scopes.
Use the documented channel control
OTT Navigator documents Audio shift in the player menu, with placement depending on interface style. It uses millisecond values and remembers the shift per channel. Open the current build’s control and record the starting value before changing it.
Make one small adjustment and replay the same type of speech passage. Keep the direction and new value in the notes so an overshoot can be reversed. Do not change the receiver delay at the same time. Two simultaneous adjustments can cancel each other or create a result that is difficult to reproduce.
Check the selected playback route when the item is absent
The developer lists route-specific support and a tunneling interaction for this feature. If Audio shift is missing or has no apparent effect, inspect the actual codec and audio path against that documentation. A hidden item is not evidence that the programme’s source audio is already correct.
If sound is passed through to an external decoder, compare its role before applying a global software-decoding change. Keep any decoder test limited to the known channel initially. Record whether the channel restarts or the receiver format changes, then assess the same dialogue again.
Verify the correction and preserve its scope
Check a later speech passage and confirm the adjustment remains useful. A different broadcast segment can expose a source edit or variable timing that a single line did not reveal. Reset to the recorded original value if the comparison does not support the change.
If the pattern is specific to the soundbar or receiver across applications, use that equipment’s documented delay controls as the appropriate wider investigation. The expected outcome is a justified channel-level correction or evidence for an output-chain issue. It does not repair every stream, alter the source recording or establish a universal best delay value.
Questions answered
Should I change the receiver and channel delay together?
No. Change one scope at a time and compare the same passage so the effect remains understandable.
What if every app is delayed through the same soundbar?
Preserve that pattern and inspect the soundbar or television’s documented lip-sync route. A single-channel setting may not be the right scope.
