Identify what stopped
Outside’s paywall FAQ says a trailer or partial video can end at a membership boundary. It also tells people with multiple accounts to check that they are signed into the paid Outside+ account. Start by reading the actual message rather than assuming a video decoder failed.
Write down whether you saw a trailer, an extract or the full film beginning. Note the title and the point where the message appeared. These observations keep the account question separate from freezing or buffering after authorised playback has started.
Compare the account with the membership record
Find the account identity on your membership confirmation and compare it with the current video session. A familiar email on another Outside network product can make it easy to overlook a second account. Use the provider’s normal sign-in controls to correct any obvious mismatch.
Then return to the same film. Keeping the title constant lets you see whether the account change affected access. Do not subscribe again simply because a preview played under an unpaid session.
Keep a location message separate
Outside’s help also notes that some content is restricted by country. A valid paid account and a title’s local availability are separate conditions. Read the displayed reason rather than assuming every denial has the same solution.
If the message concerns local availability, ask about that title or choose another legitimately available programme. This article supplies no workaround. If the account is correct but the paywall persists without a clear reason, record the message and contact official support.
Use a focused session check
The provider suggests browser-session troubleshooting for paid members. Prefer a controlled sign-out/sign-in check or a separate supported browser session before removing broad stored settings. Keep any local viewing notes and account evidence. This article reports the official support explanation; it does not claim a successful repair on your account.
Questions answered
Can the wrong account explain a paywall for someone who pays?
Yes. Outside specifically tells people with multiple accounts to check the paid membership account.
Does payment remove every territorial title restriction?
No. The provider separately notes country-based availability conditions.
