Start with the video destination
Outside identifies Outside TV as its streaming service for outdoor films, series and shorts, including sports such as skiing, surfing and climbing. The wider Outside network also publishes articles and other material. Choose the video destination when the goal is a complete film or replay.
Begin with a title or a subject and decide the form you want. A feature documentary, short portrait and event replay can share a sport while making very different demands on your time. Read the description and running time instead of treating the sport label as the whole selection.
Check full-programme access
Outside’s help says some videos and events are free, while most full films, series and replays need Outside+ access. A trailer playing successfully is not evidence that the complete programme is included for the current account. Inspect the full-video action.
If you already pay, check the account attached to that membership before interpreting a paywall. Keep your chosen title constant while inspecting the account. This avoids confusing an account mismatch with a different programme’s access conditions.
Watch outdoor footage as a film
For a documentary, note who is telling the story, when it was made and whether the focus is an individual, a place or a competition. For an archive sports film, the recording date can be part of its interest rather than a defect.
These are original viewing prompts, not instructions for attempting activities shown on screen. A film’s adventurous setting does not make it a training programme or establish that a location remains accessible in the same way today.
Keep event and archive questions separate
For a live event, verify the current official event listing and access conditions independently. An old replay or general service description does not establish coverage of a future competition. For a film archive, search the exact title and year instead.
Outside notes country-based title restrictions. Check the programme through your legitimate local route and plan an alternative where necessary. This guide makes no promise that every network benefit or film is available everywhere and reports no account or playback test.
Questions answered
Is a playable trailer proof that the full film is free?
No. Outside’s help distinguishes previews and full content requiring membership.
Does an archive replay establish rights to the next live event?
No. Check the current event’s own official listing and access terms.
