Philo Vault recorded it: why it may be absent from Saved

Enable the profile’s automatic recording on the web and distinguish a Vault recording from a manually Saved programme.

Decide whether you want automatic capture or a short personal list

Philo Vault is an automatic-recording feature in the current Essential and Bundle+ plans. It changes the need to anticipate every programme, but it does not turn the Saved page into an inventory of everything captured. Philo explicitly says that only shows and films you manually Save appear on that page. Start with the desired outcome: capture eligible future broadcasts automatically, or keep a particular programme easy to find in your personal Saved selection. You can use the two ideas together. A sparse Saved page alone is not a useful test of whether automatic recording is enabled.

Enable the correct profile through the web

Philo currently puts the Vault enablement control on philo.com. Sign in, select the profile avatar, open Settings, find Preferences and turn on Philo Vault. The published guidance says that this preference applies to that profile across devices. In a shared household, check the selected profile before looking for the result on a television. Searching repeatedly for an enablement control in another application is not equivalent to checking the documented web route. After the change, retain the profile and approximate enablement time; the service describes recording from that moment onward, rather than retroactively creating every programme ever broadcast.

Find the programme without using Saved as the only evidence

Use the actual programme or episode identity when looking for the later recording. If it matters to your regular viewing, manually Save it as well so it appears in the smaller Saved selection. When several versions are offered, Philo’s ad-control guidance distinguishes a recording from an on-demand copy, identified by their respective tags. That distinction matters even if both refer to the same episode. Opening an on-demand version and seeing its ad controls is not a reliable demonstration that Vault failed. Compare the version offered with the episode’s airing and the time at which automatic recording was enabled.

Keep the recording period separate from the list entry

The Vault help specifies access for 365 days after the airing date. A manual Saved entry is therefore an organisational aid, not evidence of permanent ownership or an extension beyond the applicable recording period. In a hypothetical household plan, note three facts for a selected programme: the profile with Vault enabled, the relevant airing after enablement and whether it was manually Saved for discovery. These answer different questions. If the intended recording is still absent, report those facts and the actual offered version. Do not erase the profile or repeatedly toggle automatic recording to investigate a listing that may simply be outside the Saved page.

Questions answered

Does every Philo Vault recording appear on Saved?

No. Philo says only programmes you manually Save are listed on the Saved page.

Can I enable Vault from every television app?

The current help says enablement is available on philo.com, with the preference then applying to the profile across devices.
