Availability depends on the source route
Samsung says Fit to Screen and picture-size options depend on the input signal, with some resolutions or broadcasts excluded. The same TV can therefore show a control for one input and not another.
Note whether the issue concerns a tuner, built-in app or HDMI source. Copying a picture-size screenshot from another source can lead to searching for a control the current signal does not offer.
Decide whether anything is actually missing
Inspect visible image edges using a known interface or reference. If the desktop or menu fits and only a wide film has bars, the picture may already preserve its intended shape. Removing bars is not automatically a correction.
If edges are clipped, review the available input-specific TV settings and the source device’s output fitting. Change one layer at a time and keep a record of the original state.
Keep the report local
A useful report names the TV model, input, signal mode and whether system edges are cut off. It does not simply say that a service has black bars.
The manufacturer’s signal limitation explains why a menu can be unavailable; it does not prove that every observed image is correctly framed. Verify the actual complete picture before choosing another adjustment.
Questions answered
Should I stretch a wide film to remove bars?
Only choose picture sizing deliberately; stretching can distort the original image.
