The mode has a narrower scope
Samsung’s UK Smart Calibration guide names QN900B, QN800B, QN700B, QN95B and QN90B for Professional mode. Basic and Professional are distinct options, and a functioning SmartThings connection does not establish both are available.
Check the exact TV model and the current manufacturer list before planning a measurement. A screenshot from another series is not a compatibility statement for yours.
Prepare the supported procedure
Samsung recommends a tripod and dark-room conditions for Professional calibration. Follow the phone’s on-screen measurement guide for the compatible TV and phone combination. Do not substitute sensor positions from a different calibration product.
Keep the picture mode and environment stable during the before/after comparison. Otherwise a room-light change can be mistaken for an effect of the measurement.
Interpret a missing option sensibly
If Professional is not offered, check the published support scope before reinstalling a video app or changing a subscription. Those actions do not create a television calibration feature.
This article reports the stated model set in the checked UK guide. It does not extend that list to later models without evidence or claim that any screen has been instrumentally calibrated here.
Questions answered
Does Basic mode prove Professional is supported?
No. Samsung treats them as distinct modes with different support.
Should I copy a later model into the list because it is newer?
No. Use current exact-model manufacturer evidence.
