The exclusion is explicit
NVIDIA says its described SHIELD AV sync utility is effective for an HDMI-connected receiver route and is not intended for Bluetooth audio or headset output through a controller or remote. A similar symptom does not erase that limitation.
Write down the actual path before looking for a slider. Headphones paired over Bluetooth and a receiver on HDMI are different processing arrangements.
Choose evidence for the active route
If the problem occurs only through headphones, inspect the supported headphone and app guidance for that route. Keep a familiar dialogue passage and note whether delay is stable or irregular.
Do not use an unrelated subtitle offset as proof that headphone audio has been calibrated. It changes text timing and can hide the original mismatch without addressing the intended signal.
Preserve a working HDMI setup
If HDMI speakers were already aligned, avoid disturbing their global correction while diagnosing another route. Record the state and return to it when changing outputs.
For support, state explicitly that Bluetooth is the active output. That prevents a correct HDMI procedure from being applied outside the manufacturer’s documented scope.
Questions answered
Does NVIDIA document this slider for Bluetooth audio?
No. Its guide explicitly excludes that route from the tool’s intended use.
Does the same late-speech symptom mean the same correction applies?
No. Identify the output path and relevant supported tool.
