Choose the recipe reference before the task
Tastemade documents Cooking Mode on a recipe page to prevent the screen going to sleep. On the website it is a switch; in the Cooking app it is reached through the recipe’s three-dot menu. Use that recipe-level option if you intend to follow the screen.
Open the actual recipe and inspect its steps before beginning. Keep the device in a practical place where the text can be read. This is suggested preparation, not a claim that the setting has been tested on every phone or that it changes all device behaviour.
Use the offered print route when paper suits the plan
The provider also documents a Print button for individual recipes on web or in the Cooking app. Its Print All Recipes option covers a collection, meal plan or Grocery List through a three-dot menu. Choose the scope you actually need rather than printing an entire plan for one meal.
Inspect the print preview or resulting pages before relying on them. Confirm the recipe title, ingredients and steps are present. If a plan changed after printing, label or replace the older reference so two versions do not compete during preparation.
Keep the choice easy to resume
For screen use, return to the intended recipe after any interruption and check the current step. For paper use, keep the pages together and mark your own notes as notes. Neither route automatically records what you have actually completed.
If the documented control is absent, note whether you are on the website, the Cooking app or another Tastemade viewing app. Keep the recipe and current app details for support. A television programme stream and the Cooking recipe interface are different tasks, so identify the one you are trying to use.
