Know what the feature controls
Tivibu’s technical help describes a smart-remote function in GO for controlling a Tivibu Ev device. It requires the mobile device and receiver to be connected to the same modem. This is a home-equipment control task, not proof that every receiver programme is streaming on the phone.
Begin with the receiver you want to control and the phone that will act as the remote. Keep both in view. If the phone opens a programme in its own player, that is a different outcome from changing what the receiver displays on the television.
Check the network path first
Confirm that the phone is connected to the intended home network rather than mobile data or an unrelated guest connection. Then check the receiver’s connection. A phone having internet access does not establish that it is on the same local network as the box.
Follow the current app’s smart-remote controls after that check. The provider suggests restarting the modem and receiver if the shared-network condition is met but the function still fails. Consider the effect on other household internet use before restarting equipment in the middle of someone else’s session.
Compare the command with the screen response
Try one ordinary command and observe the receiver’s response. Keep the action simple enough to tell what happened. Repeatedly tapping several controls can make a delayed response look like a different fault.
Record whether the app cannot find the receiver, finds it but fails to respond, or controls it while a particular programme remains locked. The last outcome can involve a separate package or channel-access question. A successful remote command does not create a new content entitlement.
Report the receiver task accurately
For support, provide the receiver model, phone platform, connection arrangement and exact stage that fails. Say that you are using GO’s Tivibu Ev remote function. This keeps the request separate from casting, offline downloads or general mobile playback, each of which has different prerequisites.
Questions answered
What network condition does Tivibu document?
The mobile device and Tivibu Ev receiver must be connected to the same modem.
Does the smart remote establish streaming access to every receiver channel on the phone?
No. It is documented as controlling the home device, a separate function from content entitlement.
