Inspect all active fields
Tvheadend's checked guide describes combined filtering across the EPG search controls. A title that exists in the guide may disappear when a previous channel, tag, genre or duration filter remains active.
Establish a clean baseline
Record the current search and use Reset All when you need an unfiltered starting point. Add the one condition that expresses the first requirement, inspect a known event, then add the next boundary. This makes the change that excludes the event visible.
Do not broaden the recording rule merely because a hidden filter made the search look empty. Search diagnosis and a new recording policy are separate tasks. Also check whether the desired metadata is actually supplied for the event.
Review before creating automation
Compare a positive match and a near match before using the search to create an Autorec. Keep the active criteria with the rule notes. No search was executed for this article, so the method does not guarantee that a particular programme is present in your guide.
Questions answered
Can an old duration filter affect a new title search?
Yes. Review all active conditions rather than only the text most recently entered.
Should an empty result immediately become a broader recording rule?
First establish a clean search baseline and inspect the supplied metadata.
