Remote control and media sharing are separate milestones
VIDAA’s official support answer says its app Media function requires Content Sharing enabled on the TV. A mobile app successfully sending remote commands does not prove that the media-sharing feature is enabled or that a selected video format is supported.
Write down what works first: TV discovery, remote navigation, a photograph or a video. Those observations identify the stage that remains unresolved.
Use the version-specific path
VIDAA’s generic answer shows System, Application Settings, Content Sharing. A specific TV’s embedded manual can use a different current route. Follow that exact model rather than combining labels from several generations.
Enable the supported feature, then use a harmless known photograph or authorized short video to test the intended TV. Keep sender and television in the required local-network arrangement.
Inspect a file failure separately
If the TV is found and one kind of media works, do not continue diagnosing discovery as though it never succeeded. Check the failed file’s supported format and the sender’s documented sharing behavior.
This article reports the feature requirement from VIDAA support. It does not promise universal codec support or an identical menu across every European model.
