The manual names different functions
Hisense’s VIDAA U8.5 manual distinguishes Screen Sharing, Content Sharing and AirPlay. They serve different sender and media tasks. A TV appearing in one route does not prove it will appear or play every item in another.
Start with what should appear: the whole interface, a shared media item or a supported Apple output. Then identify the sender’s documented technology and the TV feature that matches it.
Test the simplest legitimate example
Use a personal photograph or ordinary desktop view before a protected programme. Confirm the TV name and any request on the intended receiver. That establishes the basic route without exposing accounts.
If one app refuses external output, check its supported behavior. Do not treat a working general sharing connection as permission to bypass a programme’s restrictions.
Preserve model and software context
The checked manual has explicit model and regional limitations, and its menu path can differ from VIDAA’s generic support answer. Use the TV’s embedded guide when the labels disagree.
Record the feature selected, sender and stage that fails. “AirPlay receiver visible, one app will not play” is a different and more useful question than “casting does not work.”
Questions answered
Does success in one sharing route prove the others?
No. They use different supported functions and application behavior.
Should I use the same path on every VIDAA television?
No. Follow the exact model and software documentation.
