A new YouTube TV network may be hidden by your custom guide

Check the saved Live Guide selection before treating a missing guide row as a missing subscription channel.

Compare guide visibility with network access

YouTube TV allows viewers to hide and reorder networks in a customized Live Guide. Its current watching guide explicitly says that people who previously customized their network lineup need to add new networks to that selection. A hypothetical subscriber may therefore receive access to a network but still not see a row in the particular guide they saved earlier. Begin by naming the network and the screen where it is absent. A missing row, a network page that cannot be found and a channel that opens with an access message are three different observations.

Inspect the saved selection through the documented settings

The publisher’s route from the Live tab is Sort, then Edit, which opens Live Guide settings. On mobile or web, another documented route is the profile photo, Settings and Live guide. Review whether the intended network is included and where it sits in the saved order. Restore only the rows you intend to use; there is no need to erase a carefully arranged guide to test one omission. Record which account context you are editing so that a comparison on a shared television refers to the same preferences. Google says these Live tab preferences are reflected across devices.

Use network search as a separate check

YouTube TV’s watching guide also describes searching for a network by name or finding network pages from Search. Use that route to compare the missing guide row with the network’s actual page. Finding it there gives you a useful next observation, but does not by itself promise that every programme on it is available under every subscription or location. Read any actual access message. If search finds the network and the custom guide omits it, inspect the saved selection first. If search cannot locate the intended network, verify its correct current name and the service’s actual offering before assuming that a hidden checkbox is the cause.

Confirm the one change on the television

After editing the selection, inspect the Live Guide again on the device where the omission mattered. Check the network’s position as well as its inclusion; a row moved far down a custom order can still be overlooked. A concise household note might say that a new network was added to an existing custom lineup and identify the resulting position. If it remains absent, preserve the settings result and the separate network-search result for support. This sequence avoids escalating a personalized guide choice into a claimed service-wide carriage change and gives support evidence about the exact stage that differs.

Questions answered

Does a missing custom-guide row prove YouTube TV removed the network?

No. The current help says newly added networks must be added to an existing customized lineup.

Where can I edit the saved lineup?

Use Live, Sort, Edit, or the profile photo, Settings and Live guide on mobile or web, as documented by YouTube TV.
