Decide which edition you actually want to watch
YouTube TV’s current NFL viewing help describes a 45-minute condensed on-demand replay for games available through the subscriber’s entitlement. That is a deliberately shorter edition, separate from the full broadcast you may have recorded. Begin with the viewing objective: catch the game in a condensed presentation or revisit the complete transmission with its surrounding coverage. A shorter running time on a correctly identified condensed item is not proof that a cloud recording was cut off. Keep the game, date and selected edition together when comparing results.
Use the NFL channel destination for the condensed selection
The publisher locates these condensed VOD games on the NFL channel homepage. Inspect that destination and the actual game’s offered replay rather than relying only on a television’s Continue Watching row. That row may lead back to the last version you opened. Check the item label and expected duration before settling in to watch. An eligible subscription remains part of the offer: the help describes games available through your subscription, not every game played by the league. A team being visible in search is not sufficient evidence that a particular condensed replay is included for your account.
Plan against the short published window
The current guide says the condensed editions are uploaded by midnight Eastern time after the games air and remain available until 11:59 p.m. on the following Wednesday. Retain that named time zone in a viewing note. For someone reading from Europe, a local Wednesday label should not silently replace the publisher’s Eastern-time boundary, particularly when comparing dates near midnight. Use a time-zone-aware conversion for the relevant date rather than a remembered permanent hour difference. The replay period is a service publication window; saving a browser link does not establish that the same on-demand edition will remain playable later.
Keep full-game recording as its own preparation
If the complete broadcast matters, establish its legitimate availability and add the intended game or programme to Library under the recording instructions before relying on a later full capture. The condensed replay is useful for a different viewing task, but it is not a guarantee of a preserved full broadcast. If a selected replay is missing, report the game, edition, entitlement context and whether the published window has passed. If the issue is a full recording with missing material, state that instead. This distinction prevents a deliberate 45-minute edit, an expired VOD window and a problem in a cloud recording from becoming one misleading missing-game report.
Questions answered
Is the NFL condensed replay a full-game DVR copy?
No. YouTube TV describes it as a 45-minute on-demand replay, separate from a full recording.
Does bookmarking the replay extend its availability?
No extension is documented. The current NFL help gives a limited window ending on the following Wednesday in Eastern time.
