Begin with the television platform
A television can receive broadcast Seven channels while its installed 7plus app has a different support status. Seven’s notice specifically ended the 7plus service on Samsung Orsay televisions from 31 March 2025 as part of security and digital-rights changes. That is a named older operating-system family, not a statement that every Samsung television stopped working. The same notice directs viewers toward supported alternatives, including Tizen models and external playback routes.
Find the operating system and complete model number before choosing a replacement application. An Orsay tutorial, a Tizen app listing and a phone-store link are not interchangeable. Do not use a successful channel scan as proof that the connected app remains supported, or assume an Android package can be installed on a Samsung television.
Keep Freeview Plus separate from the full app
The Orsay notice describes a possible Freeview Plus route for video-on-demand content and explicitly distinguishes it from live-TV features. This is important when a viewer can find an episode through a broadcast-linked interface but cannot locate the live stream they expected. The route used to open the programme belongs in the comparison.
If live viewing is the requirement, check the current supported-device information for that function rather than treating every appearance of the 7plus name as identical. An external supported device changes the playback route; it does not update the television’s built-in operating system.
Clean up Continue Watching from the right surface
Seven’s viewing-history help describes a minus control beneath a programme in Continue Watching on its website and mobile apps. It says that removal is not offered directly in the connected-TV interface, while changes made through the supported surfaces reflect on other devices signed into the account. A missing television control is therefore not automatically a broken remote or failed login.
Remove the intended item from the signed-in account, then reopen the television’s list. Record whether you removed a recommendation or selected a different profile/account before investigating synchronization. This action changes a viewing list; it is not deletion of the account or cancellation of another service.
Investigate a playback issue without a universal network reset
Seven also publishes a targeted IPv6 troubleshooting notice for particular LG webOS, Fetch and Foxtel/Hubbl situations. Its existence should not be turned into advice that every household must disable IPv6. A device-specific workaround belongs to the stated symptom and platform, with the original setting recorded before making the documented change.
For help, identify the device model, app or browser, affected programme and exact message. Keep a problem limited to one platform separate from an unsupported-device notice. Seven’s own support is the appropriate source for its current compatibility and location requirements; an IPTV Europe subscription does not change them.
Questions answered
Does a Samsung badge identify the correct 7plus app route?
No. The operating-system family and model matter; Seven distinguishes retired Orsay support from supported alternatives.
Why can I remove Continue Watching on a phone but not the TV?
Seven documents the removal control on web/mobile and says the resulting changes can reflect on other signed-in devices.
