Keep the old title and new grouping together
CANAL+’s assistance describes CINÉ+ OCS as the combined cinema-and-series offer replacing earlier Ciné+ and OCS groupings in named eligible CANAL+ packages. OCS MAX, OCS PULP, OCS GÉANTS and Ciné+Premier were replaced by the OCS channel. An older guide can therefore use labels different from the combined family.
Ciné+Famiz becomes Ciné+Family, and Ciné+Club becomes Ciné+Festival. Preserve the film title as well as the old channel name when following a recommendation. That gives you a useful search after a grouping changes.
Choose by the channel’s editorial role
The help lists OCS, Ciné+Frisson, Ciné+Émotion, Ciné+Family, Ciné+Festival and Ciné+Classic. Frisson centres on suspense and genre entertainment; Émotion on emotional stories; Family on shared family-film choices; Festival on independent and auteur cinema; Classic on older cinema.
Use those descriptions to narrow a live search, then inspect the film. Someone seeking an older European feature has a better starting point in Classic than in a broad search for “cinema”. Editorial direction does not establish that every film suits every household member.
The French Prime Video edition has its own destination
The current French Prime Video CINE+OCS page was also read for this guide. It presents an on-demand selection and named channel rows for OCS, Cine+ Frisson, Cine+ Emotion, Cine+ Festival, Cine+ Family and Cine+ Classic. Those rows corroborate the six-channel family on that hosted destination; they are not evidence that a CANAL+ account signs in there.
For the saved French Prime edition, begin with that channel page and the actual film or programme. Decide whether you need its scheduled channel or a selectable item.
