Separate the distributor from the subscription selection
Film Movement describes its work across theatrical distribution, restored classics, physical discs and subscription streaming. Film Movement Plus is the streaming product within that wider activity. A film bearing the distributor’s name is not therefore automatically included in the current Plus selection.
Begin with the actual programme page and the viewing option offered there. A restoration announcement can concern a cinema or disc edition without guaranteeing the same source format in every stream. Keep the film’s year, director and version when matching a programme across the shop and subscription site.
A rental does not always require joining Plus
The distributor’s FAQ explicitly says a viewer does not need a Film Movement Plus membership merely to rent a film from its website. It also says many rentable titles are included for subscribers when indicated on the film page. These are separate purchase decisions, not a requirement to buy both for every film.
Inspect the actual included/rental label before accepting a charge. If you already subscribe, sign in through the correct route and confirm that the title is part of that selection. A trailer or shop page opening is not evidence that a paid film has been rented or added to the membership.
Prime Video Channels is another offered destination
The current Plus homepage advertises a Prime Video Channels route, and the distributor’s own history identifies its channel launch separately from the direct service. Choose the destination you intend to use and keep its actual receipt; a hardware purchase or a general Prime membership does not by itself identify a specific add-on transaction.
The direct service also provides its own mobile, web and television instructions. Installation, sign-in and programme recognition are separate stages. If an item appears locked, state the actual storefront and subscribed account before accepting another trial through a different route.
Check the country and the programme’s own tracks
The distributor’s FAQ identifies the United States, its territories and Canada for Plus, while warning that not all films are available in Canada. A North American service description is therefore not a promise of identical title access across both countries. The actual selected film belongs in the comparison.
The direct support route includes subtitle and mobile-download topics, but that is not proof that every film supplies the same options. Inspect the title’s offered version and completed save where available. For support, distinguish a rental transaction, a subscription lock, a country-specific absence and a missing subtitle rather than treating the distributor’s entire catalogue as one entitlement.
