JustWatch TV: choose Free, Beta, Store or Plus deliberately

Separate JustWatch’s streaming catalogues from its wider search guide and read the Store rental clocks.

The guide also has its own viewing service

JustWatch’s help, updated on 4 November 2026, describes JustWatch TV as its own streaming service inside the website and apps. That differs from using the wider JustWatch guide to discover an offer from another provider. Check the named viewing option before deciding which service you are using.

A result can lead to another provider or to playback through JustWatch TV. Keep the provider name with the film. Finding a title in the guide does not mean JustWatch includes it in a free or paid catalogue.

Read the full catalogue label

The official explanation distinguishes JustWatch TV Free, supported by advertising; Store, paid per rented film; Plus, an ad-free subscription selection; and Beta, selected viewing in countries without the full launch. Beta describes a market stage, not the complete Store or subscription library.

Use the relevant JustWatch TV provider filter for your location. Free viewing needs no account according to the help. Renting or subscribing requires sign-in; saved progress and a watchlist also require being logged in. Decide whether you need immediate viewing or continuity before creating an account.

The current free-viewing help says part of the free catalogue remains ad-supported with Plus. Use the JustWatch TV Plus provider filter to identify the selection offered without ads; the subscription label should not be stretched into a promise about every free title.

The separate Plus help identifies JustWatch TV Plus as another name for JustWatch Plus and the technical label for its ad-free library. The membership also includes guide Pro features. This naming relationship does not make Store rentals part of an unlimited film subscription.

Store rentals have two clocks

The Store help requires both starting and finishing within 30 days of purchase, while streaming starts a 48-hour window. The outer 30-day deadline still matters. Beginning near its end does not establish an extra two days beyond it.

For a hypothetical example using UTC only for the arithmetic, a purchase at 12:00 on 6 November 2026 has a 30-day boundary at 12:00 on 6 December. Starting at 12:00 on 5 December leaves one day inside that boundary, rather than the full two. Use the expiry actually shown by the account; no rental was purchased or tested here.

Store availability is limited to selected countries. Keep the actual film, account, provider and deadline together before starting; a result in the wider JustWatch guide is not proof that the Store supplies the local offer.

Questions answered

Do Beta and Store require separate service guides?

They are documented catalogue types within JustWatch TV and can be explained together while preserving their differences.

Does a JustWatch search result mean the film is free on JustWatch TV?

No. The guide can identify other providers. Inspect the actual provider and access option.
