Identify an individual VOD transaction
Orange’s French video-on-demand service offers individually rented or purchased films and programmes. Its service introduction distinguishes the transaction and selected video from the wider television experience. A replay, subscription-channel programme and VOD purchase should therefore be checked separately even when they appear in the same Orange interface.
Open the actual film information and inspect whether rental, purchase or both are offered. Check the edition, available language and displayed conditions before confirming. A trailer or a film appearing in a recommendation does not establish that a transaction has been completed or that the item belongs to a monthly channel package.
Use the Orange Internet identity that carries access
Orange’s television-app guidance specifically identifies the Orange Internet email for its VOD catalogue and distinguishes it from an Orange mobile email. A customer can therefore recognize the Orange brand and still be signing in with an account that does not carry the intended television benefit.
Check the purchasing account and confirmation before paying again. The decoder’s transaction history is another official route for reviewing orders. Keep the transaction type visible: a rental has a viewing window, while a purchased item has different account and local-copy conditions. Creating another account does not move the first receipt to it.
Follow the current iOS purchase route
The September 2026 download instructions say rental and purchase are unavailable within the iOS TV d’Orange app and direct viewers to acquire the content beforehand through the decoder or Orange’s website. Older retained iOS help uses broader purchase wording, so a missing in-app Buy control should not itself be treated as a broken subscription.
After the transaction, the current app guidance uses VOD, Mes vidéos, the selected film and Télécharger for downloading. Choose the programme actually attached to the account. Buying through the web and later opening the app are separate stages; verify account recognition before starting another purchase from a different screen.
Read the saved copy’s limits before moving screens
The download guide distinguishes a downloaded rental’s limited viewing period from purchased-copy renewal by reconnecting. It also places restrictions on watching a downloaded rental from another mobile or computer screen. Inspect the actual item before assuming that every device registered to the household can use the same temporary copy.
The same current guide provides download-quality settings under Plus and Mes réglages. Choose a suitable quality, wait for completion and check the saved item before disconnecting. When moving a stream between screens, Orange’s service introduction tells viewers to close the previous player session; a paused open session and a completed local download are different things to investigate.
