Use the current product route
Stingray’s Karaoke Download Store closed in June 2026. Its current support says people can no longer sign in there, buy tracks or re-download earlier purchases. Previously saved compatible files are a separate matter from the current streaming apps.
Begin by deciding what you intend to use tonight: files you already saved, or songs offered in a current app. That choice determines which device, account and catalogue you need to check. An old purchase receipt alone cannot retrieve a file from the closed store.
Build a manageable song queue
For a small group, ask each person for two or three songs and record the artist as well as the title. Similar titles and cover versions can make a rushed search confusing. Check the version displayed by the service before adding it to your plan.
Put a familiar song near the beginning and leave space for changes. This is a hosting suggestion, not a claim that the service includes a particular song or supplies a universal queue across devices. Verify each wanted track in the app you will actually use.
Make the lyrics the centre of the setup
Stingray’s mobile product describes displaying lyrics on a television through supported casting routes. Confirm the route offered by your devices before guests arrive. The important practical test is whether the people singing can read the words comfortably from where they will stand.
The help also documents a Lyrics On Black option. Where that control is available, it can offer a simpler display than a moving background. Compare a few lines of text rather than choosing a visual style solely from the menu preview. This page reports the documented option, not a hands-on display test.
Keep the session and the subscription understandable
If you choose a current subscription, note its seller and renewal details. A streaming entitlement does not automatically import the music files you bought in a different product. Likewise, a saved file does not establish that the same recording is in the streaming catalogue.
Before the session, prepare a fallback song list using only tracks you have confirmed through your chosen route. If a file or lyric control fails, record the product, device and track so support can address the correct system rather than treating every karaoke question as a store-order problem.
Questions answered
Can I re-download an old purchase from the Karaoke Download Store?
The current closure notice says re-downloads are no longer available after the June 2026 closure.
Does this mean every previously saved file stops working?
No. Stingray says previously saved files can still work on compatible devices.
