The date that changes the task
Vimeo says its On Demand storefront closes on 20 November 2026. This guide was checked on 4 November 2026, while the transition was still ahead. Purchased titles remain available until closure; a rental can expire earlier under its original deadline. Vimeo OTT is a separate product, so the announcement should not be applied automatically to every independently branded service using Vimeo technology.
Start with your existing library rather than a new shopping list. Write down the films you have not finished and their visible deadlines. Put an expiring rental ahead of a purchase that remains accessible until closure. A single date in a calendar is less useful than a short list ordered by the time each item actually disappears.
Separate a saved file from a saved link
Creators decide whether a title offers a download. Where the official control is available, Vimeo advises saving it before the shutdown. A bookmark, email receipt or item in a viewing list records where a film was; it does not itself contain the film.
For an eligible download, check the resulting file on the computer where you intend to keep it. Give the folder a recognisable film title and include any separately offered subtitles. This is a suggested organisation method, not a claim that IPTV Europe downloaded or tested your purchase. If the seller offers no download, do not assume a browser extension creates an authorised alternative.
What a subscription or another service does not resolve
Existing On Demand subscriptions stopped automatically renewing after 21 September 2026. Access ends at the earlier of the remaining paid period or 20 November. Vimeo also says purchases and viewing history will not automatically move to another platform.
If a filmmaker announces a new home, compare its offer with your existing transaction. A new listing may require a separate purchase. Save the announcement and ask the seller a precise question about your title and order if any transfer offer is unclear; a similar poster is not proof that an old entitlement followed it.
Keep evidence that remains useful
Retain the title, seller name, purchasing account, transaction date and receipt reference. Note whether the unresolved issue concerns an expired rental, a missing download option or inability to sign in. Those are different support questions and should not be bundled into a general complaint that the library is broken.
Vimeo describes refunds as individual support decisions rather than an automatic outcome. Use its official support route with the relevant purchase details.
