Check that this movie has supported alternatives
IPTVnator’s current alternative-sources guide scopes the feature to desktop Xtream movies found in the user’s own added sources. It does not search the internet for providers. Start with an authorized film that actually exposes the Sources chip in the installed build.
Confirm the film identity before comparing copies. A remake, a different year or an alternate edit can have a similar name while differing in duration and content. A shared poster is insufficient evidence that the same time position will describe the same scene.
Compare the selected copy before pinning it
Open Sources and inspect which playlist each copy belongs to. The developer distinguishes reported facts from title-derived tags marked with a tilde; an unchecked row is not an unavailable verdict. Keep those evidence levels visible when deciding which copy to try.
For an original comparison, write down the current source, a recognizable scene and the approximate position before a manual switch. Open the candidate through the documented Play from this source action and inspect the scene, audio and subtitles. Do not choose solely from a resolution-like suffix in a title.
Pin only the intended movie preference
The documented Make this the main source action pins one movie copy; it is not a global priority for every title. Each copy retains its own saved progress, and the pinned copy supplies the main Play or Resume state. Inspect that state after making the choice.
If the main button changes from a familiar resume position to Play, establish which copy is now authoritative before deciding that history was lost. For example, one copy may have been completed while another was only partly watched. Keep that account of state separate from whether either stream currently opens.
Verify the accepted copy and retain an undo plan
Return to the film from the relevant library view and confirm the displayed source and intended starting point. If the comparison was experimental, remove the pin through the supported action rather than adding a second preference elsewhere. Keep a short record of why the chosen copy was preferred.
The useful outcome is a deliberate source for one film with an understood playback position. Availability checks and a successful short comparison do not guarantee future uptime or establish that two edits remain synchronized throughout the entire film.
Questions answered
Does pinning one copy prefer that provider for every movie?
No. The developer documents a per-movie pin.
Does a tilde resolution tag establish measured picture properties?
No. The guide marks those tags as title-derived guesses. Verify the actual copy instead of treating the name as a measurement.
Why can the primary Resume state change after pinning?
The selected copy has its own saved position. Check which copy is now supplying the main action before diagnosing missing history.
