Identify the current subscription product
Kino Film Collection describes a subscription selection of arthouse features, international and independent films, restored classics and documentaries from Kino Lorber. The catalogue is a viewing product in its own right; a Kino Lorber distribution credit on another film does not establish that the title is included.
Use the selected film’s current page and the territory where you intend to watch. The official FAQ identifies the United States and Canada while warning that not every title is available in Canada. A film’s production country and a subscription’s billing currency are not substitutes for checking that actual programme.
Keep the Prime Video channel separate from the direct app
The FAQ explicitly says the Prime Video Channels offer is a separate subscription and is not used through the direct website and channel applications. A Prime Video purchase should therefore not be expected to appear after entering its credentials into the direct Kino Film Collection player.
Before accepting another offer, inspect the existing receipt and decide which route you intend to keep. An Amazon Fire TV device can host different applications; owning the hardware does not identify the billing route. The same distinction matters when cancelling or changing a monthly plan to an annual one.
Do not follow an expired Kino Now recovery window
The current FAQ retains a historical Kino Now closure notice about rental/purchase support and a temporary download area for previous buyers. That notice gives a November 2024 end date. It should not be presented in a current guide as a still-open route for recovering purchased files.
If an old Kino Now transaction is involved, retain its confirmation and ask the publisher about the current support position. A new Film Collection subscription is not evidence that an earlier digital purchase has transferred into the subscription account. Keep the old transaction and the new viewing product as separate questions.
Match screen activation and billing management
The FAQ describes supported applications and a Samsung television sign-in route using either credentials or a QR-assisted process on listed models. Check the current device information rather than assuming every Samsung generation shares that application. Installation and membership recognition are still separate stages.
For cancellation, the service distinguishes direct website management from store/provider accounts such as Apple, Google, Roku and Prime Video. Deleting the viewing application does not identify which provider should stop renewal. Give support the actual billing route for account questions and the film, device and message for playback questions; that combination is more useful than the shared Kino name alone.
Questions answered
Will a Prime Video Kino Film Collection purchase automatically unlock the direct app?
No. The official FAQ says that is a separate subscription route.
Is the Kino Now download-recovery deadline in the FAQ a current open offer?
No. The retained historical notice specifies an end date in November 2024; ask the publisher about a current unresolved purchase.
